The Lexus GS series spans two distinct chassis generations in this resource library. The first-gen GS300 (JZS147, 1993–1997) uses the same 2JZ-GE found in the SC300, making it popular for standalone ECU conversions. The second-gen GS300/GS400 (JZS161/UZS161, 1998–2005) introduced more complex body electronics; the 1999 EWD is the best reference for this generation.
