ECU Repair

Quote-Based

A faulty ECU can present as anything from no-start, to random misfires, to sensor faults that have nothing to do with the sensor. SVK Works diagnoses and repairs aftermarket and OEM ECUs — power supply issues, connector pin damage, and component-level faults where possible.

  • Power supply rail diagnosis and repair
  • Damaged or bent ECU connector pins
  • Moisture ingress and corrosion damage
  • Blown protection diodes and fuses
  • Aftermarket ECUs: Haltech, ECUMaster, Link, MaxxECU
  • OEM ECUs for Toyota and Lexus platforms

Diagnosis First

All ECU work starts with a diagnosis. Send or bring in your ECU and we'll inspect it, test the power supply and input/output rails, and check for physical damage. We'll provide a written diagnosis with a repair quote before any work is done. If the unit is not repairable, we'll tell you that upfront rather than waste your time and money.

Common Questions

Common signs of ECU failure include: no power to the ECU at all, the ECU powers on but throws immediate fault codes for multiple sensors that tested fine, intermittent communication loss, or damage is visible on the connector or case. Before assuming ECU failure, always verify the harness side first — many apparent ECU faults are actually wiring faults.
Not every ECU is repairable — it depends on the type and extent of the fault. Power supply issues, connector damage, and basic protection component failures are often repairable. Internal processor or firmware failures typically are not. We'll give you an honest assessment after diagnosis.
Pack the ECU in an anti-static bag if possible, then wrap in bubble wrap and place in a rigid box with padding on all sides. Include a note with your name, contact details, and a description of the issue. Contact us before shipping so we're expecting it and can provide a return address.
If your ECU cannot be repaired, we'll return it to you and not charge for repair work. A diagnostic fee may apply. We can also advise on replacement ECU options for your platform and help you configure a new harness build if needed.
