A complete 38-pin body connector kit for the MK4 (MKIV) Toyota Supra JZA80 — Toyota OEM part number 90980-11555, the orange 38-pin footwell connector and the largest of the three connectors joining the engine harness to the body harness. Supplied as a full kit with the connector housing plus terminals for all 38 positions — and the factory weather seals where the connector came with them — so you can pin the connector out completely without hunting down pins separately.

OEM Toyota compatible with correct terminal sizing and retention — the right choice for chassis harness repair, a full restoration, or building a clean, unpluggable bulkhead pass-through on a 2JZ swap.

Where This Connector Lives

The MK4 Supra passes its engine harness through the firewall into the cabin using three main body connectors — a 16-pin, a 20-pin and this 38-pin. Together they carry the bulk of the signals between the engine bay and the chassis side of the car: sensor returns, injector and ignition feeds, grounds, and the ECU connections that make the car run.

Because the 38-pin carries the most circuits of the three, it is also the one most likely to give trouble on a 30-year-old car. Corroded or backed-out terminals here produce exactly the faults that are miserable to chase: intermittent misfires, sensors that drop out when the engine moves on its mounts, and no-start conditions that come and go with the weather. Replacing the connector and re-pinning it properly eliminates that whole class of problem rather than patching around it.

On swap builds, the same connector is worth keeping for a different reason: it gives you a factory-quality disconnect point, so the engine harness can be unplugged and the engine pulled without cutting a single wire.

Installation Notes

  • Work one wire at a time and transfer pin-for-pin from the old connector — do not de-pin the whole thing at once.
  • Photograph the original connector from both sides before you start, and note the keyway orientation.
  • Use an open-barrel crimper sized for the terminal. Crimp the conductor and the seal in the correct stages.
  • Give each terminal a gentle tug after seating it — a properly latched terminal will not back out.
  • Verify continuity end-to-end before reconnecting the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this fit every MK4 Supra?

Yes. The 38-pin body connector is common across the MK4 / MKIV Supra (JZA80) production run, 1993 through 2002, and is the same connector on both 2JZ-GTE turbo and 2JZ-GE naturally aspirated cars — USDM, JDM and Euro chassis alike.

Does the kit include terminals and seals, or just the housing?

This is a complete kit — it includes the connector housing plus terminals for all 38 positions, so you can populate the connector fully without sourcing pins separately. Where the connector came from the factory with weather seals, those are included too.

Is this the same as the 16-pin and 20-pin body connectors?

No — the MK4 Supra uses three separate main body connectors: 16-pin, 20-pin and this 38-pin, which is the largest of the three. If you are rebuilding the whole bulkhead, we sell all three connector kits together at a discount.

Can I use this for a 2JZ swap into another chassis?

Absolutely. Many builders reuse the factory Supra body connectors as a clean, serviceable bulkhead pass-through in a swapped chassis, so the engine harness can be unplugged without cutting wires. Once it is out of the Supra the connector is not chassis-specific.

Do I need a special crimping tool?

For a factory-quality result we recommend an open-barrel crimper sized for the terminal. A proper crimp on both the conductor and the seal is what makes these connections survive engine-bay heat and vibration long term. If you would rather not pin it yourself, we also assemble connectors to order.

How fast does it ship?

In-stock connector kits ship within 1–2 business days via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground with tracking, typically arriving in 2–5 business days within the US. International shipping is quoted at checkout. Returns accepted within 30 days if unused and in original packaging.
