What's Included

The ZF 8HP add-on includes all transmission control wiring from the ECU to the transmission, complete shifter wiring for shift-by-wire operation, and all necessary connectors. This is built directly into your SVK harness — not a separate adapter or splice-in kit. The 8HP option requires MaxxECU as the engine management system, which handles both engine and transmission control.

The ZF 8HP is an electronically controlled transmission that requires a TCU (transmission control unit) for shift control. MaxxECU has built-in ZF 8HP transmission control, allowing a single ECU to manage both the engine and transmission without a separate TCU or additional controller.
The 8HP uses shift-by-wire, so you'll need an electronic shifter compatible with the MaxxECU 8HP setup. The SVK harness includes all wiring for the shifter — just plug it in. Contact us if you need a recommendation for a specific shifter solution.
