Common Questions

Yes. We build for both the 2JZ-GTE (turbo) and 2JZ-GE (naturally aspirated), in VVTi and Non-VVTi flavours. Note: the 2JZ-GE Non-VVTi uses a distributor and requires a cam trigger kit for standalone ECU operation — we wire for it but the trigger kit must be fitted to the engine first.
Any chassis. The universal harness is built with extended leads and unterminated chassis-side ends so it can be routed and adapted to any vehicle — S13 / S14 240SX, E30 / E36 BMW, Datsun 240Z, Fox Body Mustang, or anything else. Just tell us your target chassis when you submit your request and we'll spec the lead lengths accordingly.
We build for all major standalone ECUs including Haltech Elite, Link G4X, MaxxECU, ECUMaster EMU Black / Pro, AEM Infinity, Motec M1, FuelTech FT550, and more. If your ECU isn't listed in the form, add it in the notes field and we'll accommodate it.
Yes. The 2JZ-GE Non-VVTi relies on a distributor for ignition timing and does not have coil-on-plug. Running a standalone ECU requires converting to direct ignition via a cam trigger kit (Kelford and similar suppliers offer these). We wire the harness for coil-on-plug but the trigger kit needs to be on the engine before we build.
All SVK harnesses are built new from scratch using high-temperature TXL cross-linked polyethylene wire and OEM-style Toyota / Sumitomo connectors as standard. Raychem Spec 44 motorsport-grade wire is available as an upgrade for race builds.
Standard lead time is 5–7 weeks from order confirmation. Complex builds or milspec connector builds may take slightly longer. Contact us if you have a specific deadline and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
